Pakistan National Cricket Team all-rounder Salman Agha has opened up about the clash against India National Cricket Team in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. He said that their ultimate goal is to win the title but they are equally focused on winning against India.

The much-anticipated clash between India and Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is around the corner. The match between the two teams will be taking place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Sunday (23rd February).

Salman Agha, who has been named in the Pakistan squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, talked about the upcoming clash against India. He said that winning the tournament is the ultimate goal, and for that, they are ready to even take a loss. Speaking on the PCB podcast, he said:

"Winning the Champions Trophy is the ultimate goal. Of course, we want to beat India, but if we lose to them and still win the tournament, that’s a bigger achievement."

Salman, who is vice-captain of the Pakistan team, also talked about the role, saying that he is enjoying it and is trying to balance it with my game. He elaborated:

"I’m really enjoying the role. It’s a new challenge, but I’m trying to balance it with my game."

Salman Agha scored 219 runs in the series and also displayed magnificent fielding performances. He slammed his maiden ODI hundred in what was an important game for Pakistan in the context of the final of the series.

Salman Agha brought up a century in 87 balls during the virtual knockout game against South Africa. He would be keen to carry on the same form in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and help Pakistan defend their title.
