India captain Rohit Sharma and the chairman of selectors Ajit Agarkar took part in the press conference to announce India's squad for the upcoming ODI series against England and the Champions Trophy 2025.

At the end of the press conference, Rohit did something that wasn't expected of him. The 37-year-old used abusive language that was immediately caught on the mic on live television.

As the press conference concluded, both Rohit Sharma and Ajit Agarkar smiled after answering to the reporters' questions and the former was heard saying, "Ekdum boring tha PC, behen****".

Both Rohit Sharma and Ajit Agarkar walked away and left the room after answering the questions of the reporters. There were several doubts but both of them cleared them all.

Meanwhile, the press conference was organized to announce India's squad for the ODI series against England and the Champions Trophy 2025. Rohit Sharma will lead the team while Shubman Gill will retain his position of vice-captain.

Yashasvi Jaiswal picked as third opener

Both Rohit and Gill are likely to be India's openers in the first match of Champions Trophy. Yashasvi Jaiswal has been picked in the squad as the third opener despite not having played any ODI so far. Jaiswal has been prolific in both the Test and the T20I format and has been awarded with an ODI call-up now.

Virat Kohli will take up his usual spot of No. 3 and will be one of the crucial players for India despite his poor batting form. Shreyas Iyer has retained his middle order spot after impressive outings in the ODI format the last time India played.

KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant have been picked as the wicketkeepers with no place for Sanju Samson. Hardik Pandya is the only fast bowling allrounder in the team as the selectors have opted against the selection of the exciting allrounder Nitish Kumar Reddy.

Pandya hasn't played much 50-overs cricket of late and it remains to be seen how he performs in the tournament. There is a huge presence of spin bowling allrounders in the team which might have been due to the spin-friendly conditions in the UAE.

Squad packed with spin bowling allrounders

Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, and Washington Sundar are all capable of bowling their full quota of overs and can also contribute with the bat in the lower order. Kuldeep Yadav is the lone specialist spinner in the squad.

The fast bowling looks in good shape if Jasprit Bumrah gets fit in time. Bumrah has been named but his availability in the first two ODIs against England will be subject to fitness. Harshit Rana has been added as the back-up to Bumrah.

Mohammed Shami and Arshdeep Singh are the other two fast bowlers in the squad. Meanwhile, Mohammed Siraj has been omitted from the team in favor of death overs specialist Arshdeep Singh.
