With 20 competing nations split into four groups of five sides each, the 2024 edition of the ICC men’s T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the USA will use a new format as opposed to the previous two competitions.

As per ESPNCricinfo, this eliminates the first round that was held prior to the Super 12 stage in the 2021 and 2022 editions.

To reach the Super Eight stage, the top two teams from each group must advance. At this point, all teams are split into two groups of four. These two groups’ top two teams will advance to the semifinals. This will be followed by the final.
