ICC Under 19 World Cup 2024 India Squad, Schedule, Match List, And Player List

India’s Under 19 team will aim to defend their title in the ICC Under 19 World Cup 2024. The ICC event will take place in South Africa. The ICC Under 19 World Cup 2024 will commence on January 19 in India.

A total of 16 teams are part of the tournament. They are divided into four groups of 4 teams each. India team is part of Group A. Bangladesh, Ireland, and United States are other teams in the same group.

ICC Under 19 World Cup 2024 will observe the group stage first, where each team will face their opponents of the same group once. After the group stage, 3 teams from each group will play in the Super 6 round. India will commence their journey in the tournament on January 20.

The men-in-blue will face Bangladesh in their opening clash. The encounter takes place at Mangaung Oval Stadium in Bloemfontein, South Africa. Later, India will face Ireland and the United States on January 25 and 28 respectively. The venue of those matches is also Mangaung Oval Stadium.

Uday Saharan is the captain of Team India in the ICC Under 19 World Cup 2024. Batters like Rudra Patel, Sachin Dhas, and Ansh Gosai are key batsmen for the side. Aaradhya Shukla, Naman Tiwari, Prem Devkar, and Raj Limbani will lead the pace attack for Team India.  Murugan Abhishek is a crucial spinner for the team. All-rounder Arshin Kulkarni will be a player to watch out for.

In the previous edition in 2020, the India Under 19 team showcased an impeccable show. They were unbeaten throughout the tournament, crushing all the teams they faced across six matches. In the final, the young men-in-blue outplayed England by 4 wickets to grab the trophy.

This time too, Team India will aim for a similar show. However, it will be a tough challenge for the team on South African soil, which comprises different pitches and conditions than Indian pitches.
