They kept pressuring the hosts with the team ball from the beginning of the first innings. Falling into a trap, both of the England Women's team openers lost their scalps early in the innings, which came as a massive blow for the Three Lions.
Skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt's unbeaten 58 and another unbeaten 44 from Freya Kemp helped England to register 150 runs in the first innings. Considering the early conditions of the pitch, the total was decent, but not enough to create a barrier between the Aussies and the trophy.
