The ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 is all set to begin on September 29th, with the final slated to take place on October 26th. As per the reports in ESPNCricinfo, it is learned that the summit clash will take place at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur.

The ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 will be hosted in India and the tournament will be played across five venues. Vishakhapatnam, Thiruvananthapuram, Raipur, and Indore, apart from that, Mullanpur will be hosting the final of the biggest event in Women's Cricket.

Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa and Sri Lanka and India have qualifed for ICC Women’s World Cup 2025

Mullanpur, Thiruvananthapuram and Raipur are yet to host the Women's ODI while Nehru Stadium in Indore has hosted two women's ODIs, including one in the 1997 World Cup. However, the upcoming event is expected to be played at the Holkar Stadium. ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Vishakhapatnam has hosted six women's T20Is and five women's ODIs.

Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, and Sri Lanka, apart from hosts India have qualified for the ICC Women's World Cup 2025. The last two teams will be decided based on the Women's World Cup Qualifiers, which are all set to be played in Lahore from April 9.

ICC Women's World Cup 2025 to played in the hybrid model if Pakistan qualify

If Pakistan qualify for the ICC Women's World Cup 2025, then the tournament is all set to be played in a hybrid model. If that happens then UAE and Sri Lanka are expected to host some part of the event. This is because BCCI and PCB recently signed an agreement that till 2027, they won't be travelling to each other's countries.

The ICC Women’s World Cup will be the first time that India will be hosting the event after 2013. Overall, this is the fourth time that event will be played in India. During the last edition, the Women in Blue faced a group stage exit and would be keen to make a strong comeback this time around.

A total of 31 games will be played in ICC Women’s World Cup 2025

The ICC Women’s World Cup will be played in the same format as that in 2022. A total of 31 games will be played in the eight-nation tournament. With the event set to be played at home, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side will be favorites to win the event.

In 2017, India finished as runners-up as they lost to hosts England in the final. In the 2022 edition, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side missed out on a semi-final spot. It will be a great challenge for the team as they have a lot of youngsters on the side.

India, for the last few years, have struggled to get going in the ICC tournaments. Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur has faced a lot of criticism for her poor leadership skills. She would want to silence all her criticism and lead from the front to take her team to win.
