England’s ODI skipper, Jos Buttler opened up on Harry Brook after he was excluded from the Three Lions;=’ provisional ODI World Cup and said that the 24-year-old has no point in proving to everyone.

Harry Brook, the right-handed star batsman was recently snubbed from the squad to make space for Ben Stokes who announced his comeback from retirement in the 50-over format.

Soon Ben Stokes revealed that he had overturned his retirement decision, and the team management wasted no time to include him in the provisional squad for the upcoming ODI World Cup in India.

However, many cricket pundits thought the decision to snub Harry Brook was baseless since the youngster is currently in his top form. Meanwhile, it is quite understandable that the England selectors preferred experience more.

We all know what a fantastic player he is: Jos Buttler on Harry Brook

While speaking to the media, Jos Buttler said that the 24-year-old has no point in proving himself since everyone knows what a player Harr Brook is.

Buttler accepted that it is unfortunate that Harry Brook missed the selection and that sets a long time. Buttler further added that it is natural that good players miss out on the squad since they have a lot of depth and talent.

“I don’t think he has a point. We all know what a fantastic player he is. He’s not missed out because he’s not at the moment. Yeah, he’s a top player, fully expect him to play really well, and that’s why he’s here. He’s a really good player. He’s unfortunate to miss out on selection at this stage, and that’s set up for a long time. We’ve got a lot of depth and talent and I think the young players coming through and pushing part of the team actually for the last few years, So it’s natural that good players miss out. That’s what happens in good teams,” Jos Buttler said on Harry Brook.
