Pakistan To Face India in Ahmedabad On October 14
The Babar Azam-led side will play their inaugural match of ICC World Cup 2023 against the Netherlands in Hyderabad. Much-awaited India vs Pakistan clash is going to be played on October 14 in Ahmedabad.
One of the semi-finals is set to take place at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. According to reports, if Pakistan reach the semi-finals, their match will be moved to Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The move is aimed as a precautionary measure to keep the Pakistan team away from Mumbai, where they might face a potential threat.
Meanwhile, India had rejected the idea of sending their players to Pakistan for Asia Cup 2023 due to security issues. As a result, Asia Cup 2023 will be played in a hybrid format. The first phase will be played in Pakistan while the second phase including India games will be played in Sri Lanka.
