ICC World Cup 2023: PCB Reveals New Pakistan Jersey For ODI World Cup 2023 In India

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday (August 28th) unveiled the new Star Nation Jersey at a special ceremony which was held at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

PCB chief Zaka Ashraf also attended the ceremony along with Usman Waheed, the director of the PCB’s Commercial wing.

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board, the new jersey has been made by keeping Pakistan’s former cricketers who have showcased stellar performances at the world’s most prestigious cricket tournament.

The design of the New Jersey was made by keeping celestial bodies in mind as every astronomical star defines brilliance and aspiration. The radiant glow marks the achievements of the Pakistan Cricket Team.

Babar Azam-led Men in Green are currently the number one ODI team in the world and since the achievement comes before the start of the ODI World Cup 2023, it will motivate the team’s confidence during the tournament.

After beating Afghanistan in the three-match ODI series and displaying a stellar performance, Babar Azam was also named the number-one ODI batsman in the world.

Before the start of the extravaganza tournament, Pakistan will take part in the Asia Cup 2023 which is to begin on Wednesday (August 30th). In the first match of the tournament, the Men in Green will take on Nepal at Multan International Stadium.

PCB shared a special video on their official social networking site to reveal the jersey. “The ??? ?????? is here! Unveiling the Star Nation Jersey’23,” PCB wrote.

This jersey encapsulates our rich cricketing heritage: Zaka Ashraf while revealing Pakistan’s new jersey for the ODI World Cup 2023

The PCB chief said that the jersey holds the bond between the cricket players and the fans. Ashraf also added that the new jersey signifies the rich cricketing heritage of the country.

“The Star Nation Jersey bears witness to the enduring bond between our cricketers and the passionate fans who stand by them through every match. This jersey encapsulates our rich cricketing heritage and the luminous future that awaits.” Zaka Ashraf said.

“The Star Nation Jersey isn’t just a uniform; it’s a canvas woven with stories, sacrifices, and triumphs. Each star on this jersey represents the unwavering support of our fans and the radiant legacy of our cricketing heroes. Every detail has been meticulously crafted to ensure that donning this jersey will instill profound pride in every Pakistani.” Usman Waheed added.

Pakistan will start their ODI World Cup 2023 journey against the Netherlands on October 6th at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

However, the most awaited match of the tournament will take place on October 14th between the Men in Green and India at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
