Indian skipper Rohit Sharma will be leading his team in the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023 at home. He will have the pressure of standing up to the expectations of the billions of Indian fans. The Indian team have not won an ICC title since 2013.

This Indian team under Rohit Sharma are looking to bring an end to India’s dry runs without an ICC title for a decade. The Asia Cup 2023 will start India’s preparations for the ODI World Cup at home.

The players chosen for the Asia Cup are more or less expected to be selected for the World Cup as well. Rohit Sharma is currently enjoying some quality time at home with his family. He was a part of the ODI squad against West Indies which India won 2-1.

Meanwhile, the official Instagram handle of ICC shared a video where Rohit Sharma was put in a spot. He was asked to choose between two in a “This Or That” session. One of the questions posed to him was who is the tougher bowler between Shaheen Afridi and Mitchell Starc.

Recently, former Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi derived a lot of praise from former Pakistan pacer Sarfaraz Nawaz. He said that Afridi in his first two to three overs is a lethal bowler to face.

“He is an extraordinary bowler and very very lethal in his first two three overs. I have rarely seen a bowler with such control over swing, seam and pace and yorkers with the new ball,” Nawaz was quoted as saying to the reporters in Lahore.

Rohit will come up against the likes of Shaheen and Starc in the World Cup when India take on Pakistan (October 14) and Australia (October 8).
