ICC World Cup Points Table 2023: Updated Standings, Most Runs, Most Wickets After IND vs BAN Match 17

The Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune was host to IND vs BAN, which was the 17th match in the ICC World Cup 2023. It was another Indian-dominated game as they thumped Bangladesh by 7 wickets to register their fourth consecutive win of the tournament.
Bangladesh were asked to bat first and after a cautious start, they had a rollicking start. Litton Das (66) and Tanzid Hasan (51) added 93 runs for the opening partnership. Things looked staggering for them as they were all set for the big total. But they suffered a disappointing collapse in the middle.
They were reduced to 137 for four in no time and were under serious pressure. However, senior pros in Mushfiqur Rahim (38) and Mahmudullah (46) then batted well in the end and made sure that their side wasn’t completely out of the game.
They batted well and along with some handy contributions from tailenders powered Bangladesh to a total of 256 runs. For India, Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of the bowlers as he returned with the figures of 2/41. Apart from him, Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Siraj also picked two wickets.
Rohit Sharma (48) was at his aggressive best yet again as he took India off the blazing start. He along with Shubman Gill (53) added 88 runs for the opening partnership. But both the batters were back in the hut after early starts. Virat Kohli then took the onus to himself and batted beautifully despite Shreyas Iyer (19) getting out early.
Virat Kohli slammed a magnificent ton whereas KL Rahul (34*) supported him well as India completed a dominating 7-wicket win.
