Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja broke the massive record in Test cricket. He surpassed Bishan Singh Bedi to become India’s highest wicket-taker in the history of the game among left-arm spinners. The Southpaw achieved the feat in the ongoing ICC World Test Championship (WTC) Final against Australia.

Ravindra Jadeja managed to get wickets in the seam-friendly track in the ongoing ICC WTC Final against Australia and as always he managed to contribute to the team’s cause. The all-rounder achieved the feat when he removed Steve Smith and Travis Head in the second innings.

Ravindra Jadeja, who contributed 48 runs, with the bat picked one wicket in the innings and purchased some turn from the surface in the second innings. He bowled tight lines to the opposition batters and removed both centurions of the first innings in Steve Smith and Travis Head.

After his two wickets in the second innings, Ravindra Jadeja has not just surpassed Bishan Singh Bedi but is now only behind Rangana Herath, Daniel Vettori, and Derek Underwood. Apart from this record, he also dismissed Steve Smith 8 times in his Test career, which is the second-highest time after Stuart Broad (9).

With the kind of display, he showed today with the ball, he’s expected to play a huge role with the ball on Day 4. After posting 296 runs in reply to Australia’s 469 runs, India chipped in with quick wickets in the second innings and kept themselves in the hunt. At Stumps on Day 3, Australia were 123/4 and have taken a lead of 296 runs.
