The Pakistan National Cricket Team is currently in England for a three-match Test series. They have already lost the series after being handed a humiliating defeat in the first two games at Headingley and Lord’s. Before the third Test, Iceland Cricket has once again taken a swipe on their social media account, this time against the Men in Green and Mohsin Naqvi.
Pakistan are winless in their last five meetings against England in England. They have lost three and won two. A win in the last Test match would save their image a bit; however, it is a mountain to climb for Babar Azam’s side, who have been at the bottom of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-2027 points table.

Iceland Cricket, while posting on their X (formerly Twitter) account, mocked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and their chairman, Mohsin Naqvi. The post was made to mock the PCB and Mohsin Naqvi's controversial decisions of sending their players back and sacking their coaches amid the ongoing Test series against England, as well as Naqvi's recent comments, in which he defended the Men in Green.
"We are going to launch a new cricketing challenge for coastal cricketers. Clear an iceberg and you win an all-expenses paid educational trip to meet Mohsin Naqvi and learn about selection strategy. Trip can be one-way if you wish."
Why PCB and Mohsin Naqvi being trolled and slammed?
Pakistan dropped seven players and sent them home mid-tour following crushing defeats in the first two Test matches against England. In a drastic and heavily criticized move, the board also sacked head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed and bowling coach Umar Gul mid-series. The PCB then called up Saim Ayub and Abdullah Fazal, along with five uncapped players at the Test level.
The fallout came after Pakistan lost the first Test by an innings and 103 runs and the second by 194 runs. Mike Hesson (who was already in Pakistan's white-ball teams) was appointed as the new Test head coach. Australian Ashley Noffke replaced Umar Gul as the bowling coach. After this haul, several former players took a dig at the overhaul.
Pakistan face race against time
Previously, Iceland Cricket took a swipe at the PCB and the players after the Men in Green players and all the members attended a dinner with King Charles, following their 194-run defeat at Lord’s. Iceland Cricket mockingly tweeted that the King of England does not know many of the players, just like the rest of the cricket fraternity.

Pakistan have lost 15 out of their 20 games and currently sit at the bottom of the World Test Championship (WTC) standings, similar to where they finished the last cycle. They have already been eliminated from qualifying for the final.
