Mumbai Indians batsman Ishan Kishan expressed his confusion on selecting his bat from the plenty of options available at his disposal.

Ishan joined the five-time IPL champions in 2018 and has played an important role in the team’s middle-order to get quickfire runs in order to build the momentum for the team.

This year Ishan Kishan made his T20I and ODI debut against England and Sri Lanka respectively. He sent his bat, the one he used for his debut, back to his bat manufacturer so that he can access more such pieces like that.

Ishan Kishan has marked Lord Sai Baba’s mantra on his bat

Ishan, who played five games and scored 73 runs in IPL 2021 so far, said he has marked his bat with the mantra of Lord Sai Baba on it, as it gives the batsman confidence to play.

“No, I don’t keep my bats marked to know which I’ve to use. But yes, I always know which is the one I have to pick. My debut bat is not with me here. I’ve sent it to SG because I want three more bats just like that to play with.

“If you own a lot of bats too, you get confused. You don’t know which to play with. Now I’m confused as to which bat to play with!” Kishan was quoted as saying by Mumbai Indians’ official website.

“Let me just pick a new bat today, what say? All my bats have the text “Om Sai Nath” written on it because I believe in him. I ask them to put it on my bat because I like it, it gives me confidence,” he added.

Ishan is currently with Mumbai Indians in UAE, preparing for their remaining matches of IPL 2021.
