Imad Wasim shockingly retires again amid chaos in Pakistan Cricket

Pakistan National Cricket Team all-rounder Imad Wasim has announced his retirement from International Cricket. The left-hander took to his social media account and made the development public on Friday (13th December), saying it was a great honour for him to represent the country.
Imad Wasim said that every moment while playing for Pakistan will be unforgettable and also thanked fans for their unwavering support and love. The all-rounder added he will continue playing in domestic and franchise cricket and will give his best to entertain the fans.

Taking to his Twitter account, he explained:
"To all fans & supporters: After much thought and reflection, I have decided to retire from international cricket. Representing Pakistan on the world stage has been the greatest honour of my life, and every moment wearing the green jersey has been unforgettable.
"Your unwavering support, love, and passion have always been my biggest strength. From the highs to the lows, your encouragement has pushed me to give my best for our beloved country.
"While this chapter comes to an end, I look forward to continuing my journey in cricket through domestic and franchise cricket, and I hope to keep entertaining you all in new ways. Thank you for everything. Pakistan."

Imad Wasim last played for the Pakistan National Cricket Team in the T20 World Cup 2024. The all-rounder had earlier announced his retirement from the International Cricket but he was convinced by the Pakistan Cricket Board to take his retirement back and play in the tournament along with Mohammad Amir.
Imad Wasim then made a return to the team ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024. However, his second stint as the player of the Pakistan National Cricket Team wasn't as fruitful as the earlier one, as he struggled to get going with both bat and ball in the matches that he played.

Imad Wasim made his debut for Pakistan in 2015 and played a massive role for the team. The all-rounder represented the team in 55 ODIs, scoring 986 runs and picking 44 wickets. In the 75 T20Is, he also mustered 554 runs and also picked 73 wickets. He didn't make his debut for the team in the longest format of the game.
