Imad Wasim snubs PSL as he names the league that will become 'one of the best' very soon

Pakistan allrounder Imad Wasim has backed the Major League Cricket (MLC) to become one of the best leagues in the world in the near future. The 35-year-old is presently in the United States of America, playing for Seattle Orcas in the ongoing second season of the MLC.
MLC 2024 got underway on July 5 while the final is scheduled to take place on July 28. Just like the first season last year, six teams are participating in the competition once again. Big names from around the world are plying their trades in the competition.
Apart from Imad Wasim, the likes of Heinrich Klaasen, Faf du Plessis, David Miller, Andre Russell, Shakib Al Hasan, Sunil Narine, Rashid Khan, Tim David, Jake Fraser-McGurk and several other notable players are playing in the competition.
And Imad Wasim believes the tournament will only get stronger in the future. The Pakistan star said that the MLC has the presence of all the leading franchises across the world and stated that the tournament is attracting good crowd as well.
"Major League Cricket will be one of the best leagues in the world in near future. There are Indian franchises, Australian franchises and American franchises here. It's a mixture of all the cultures and the crowd here is fantastic," said Imad Wasim.
Talking about MLC 2024, Washington Freedom are currently at the top of the points table with 3 points from 2 games. On the other hand, Imad Wasim's team Seattle Orcas are at the fifth spot with one win and one defeat so far.
A strong inaugural season for MLC:
The MLC got underway last year with six teams participating in the competition. The tournament turned out to be very successful as it managed to attract good crowd throughout. According to a report in ESPNcricinfo, more than 70,000 fans had attended the first season of the MLC, thus generating $2.8 million in ticket sales revenue.
MI New York had won the first season of the tournament. In the final, they had defeated Seattle Orcas thanks to an unbeaten century from their captain Nicholas Pooran.
