IND vs AFG: "This Win Is For Rohit Sharma" - Twitter Erupts As India Win Double Super Over Thriller

Fans on X reacted after the India Cricket Team won the third T20I against Afghanistan by clinching the super over. The match between the two teams took place at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru. 

India won the toss and opted to bat first and the wicket didn’t play well at the start. They were jolted with big blows at the start and were left reeling at 22/4. But skipper Rohit Sharma took the onus to himself and silenced all his critics. 

Rohit Sharma slammed a magnificent ton and ended with an unbeaten 121 runs. On the other hand, Rinku Singh supported him well as he blasted 69 runs and added 190 runs in partnership with the skipper. Their heroics powered India to a total of 212 runs on the board. 

Afghanistan were off to a dramatic start as Rahmanullah Gurbaz (50) and Ibrahim Zadran (50) added 93 runs for the opening partnership. After their partnership, Mohammad Nabi (34) played a cameo but the visitors lost quick wickets. 

But Gulbadin Naib (52*) brought his team back into the game and made sure that his side didn’t lose. The match ended in a draw and it moved to super over. In the first super over, Afghanistan managed 16 runs, and in a drastic turn of events India too got the same and it ended in a draw. 

In the second super over, India with the bat could get only 11 runs, credit to skipper Rohit Sharma. With the ball, India then handed responsibility to Ravi Bishnoi and he repaid the faith as he picked three wickets in two balls to win the game for his team.  The series went to the hosts as they completed a 3-0 whitewash to end the last series before the T20 World Cup 2024 on a high.

As the third T20I between India and Afghanistan went to the two super overs, fans on Twitter reacted to it. They were all in praise of the Men in Blue in particular skipper Rohit Sharma for their heroics. The captain received a lot of applause for his batting effort thrice and gave some joyful reactions.
