It’s An Honor To Bat With Virat Kohli – Yashasvi Jaiswal
At a post-match presentation, Yashasvi Jaiswal emphasized the positive intent of the partnership with Virat Kohli. Jaiswal mentioned that the small chat with Kohli involved discussions focused on identifying areas for scoring runs.
“I think It was really nice. Whenever I bat with Virat bhaiya, it’s an honour. Lots of things to learn. When we were batting, we had small chats where we can hit the boundaries. We decided that it was easy to hit over the long-on and mid-off. The intent was there and the positive vibes were there and we were just trying to hit good shots,” Jaiswal said.
Jaiswal formed a formidable 92-run partnership with Shivam Dube for the third wicket. Dube scored his second consecutive half-century in the ongoing T20I series. Dube scored an unbeaten 63 runs off 32 deliveries with the help of five boundaries and four maximums.
Have Been Told To Go And Express Me – Yashasvi Jaiswal
Yashasvi Jaiswal revealed his role in India’s new T20 batting approach, emphasizing the team’s directive for him to express himself. The left-hander said that he is focused on contributing to the team’s success instead of worrying about the T20 World Cup spot.
“I have been told to go and express myself and try to do what I do. I keep working hard on my practice session on my process. When I get the chance I try my best and make sure that I am doing things for the team which is important and I am just trying to show my intent,” Jaiswal added.
With the T20 World Cup approaching in six months, Jaiswal seems to have positioned himself as a strong candidate for the ICC event. The young left-hander may have cemented his place in the squad for the upcoming marquee tournament ahead of Shubham Gill.
