Australia National Cricket Team pacer Mitchell Starc talked about his battle with Virat Kohli ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. He said that he has enjoyed his competition with the India National Cricket Team batter, saying that he has got him out quite a few times.

One of the best battles in modern-day cricket has been between Virat Kohli and the Australian pacer Mitchell Starc. Both, being the fiercest competitors, have left no stone unturned in winning the competition against each other and giving it to each other.

Both Virat Kohli and Starc have had great success against each other in all three formats of the game. While the pacer has got the batter out quite a few times, Kohli has had the upper hand in the battle as he has ensured that not only he scores runs but also scores at a good pace and average.

Mitchell Starc has dismissed Virat Kohli only four times in Test cricket. While the India National Cricket Team batter has an average of 59 against the fast bowler to go with a strike rate of 59.9 and 33 boundaries. In the other formats as well, the batter has a decent average.

Virat Kohli and Starc will be up against each other again in the next few months. India will be taking on Australia in the five-match Test series down under. The series will be played in November, December, and January and will also be part of the ICC World Test Championship cycle.

The battle between Virat Kohli and Starc no doubt will be the key factor of the series. The left-arm pacer is an absolute beast in the home conditions, while Kohli, on the other hand, also, is no mug in Australian conditions as he has played a magnificent brand of cricket there.
