The 2023 ODI World Cup will be a special one for Mohammed Siraj. The right-arm fast-bowler is gearing up to play in the World Cup for the very first time in his career.

Mohammed Siraj has become an indispensable part of India’s ODI team and his performance can play a crucial role in determining the team’s fate in the World Cup. The Hyderabad star will enter the tournament with his confidence sky-high thanks to his stunning display in the Asia Cup last month.

In the final of the continental championship, Mohammed Siraj blew Sri Lanka. He picked up 6 wickets for just 21 runs to help India bowl out the home side for just 50 runs. India went on to win the game by 10 wickets to clinch a record-extending eighth Asia Cup title.

Mohammed Siraj will now set his sights on the World Cup. And ahead of playing his first World Cup, he has shared his views on the same.

In a video posted by the Indian cricket team’s official Instagram handle, a number of Indian players shared their feelings about playing the ODI World Cup for the first time.

Speaking about Mohammed Siraj, he said: “To be honest, first time playing the World Cup that too in India, it is not possible to describe the feeling”.
