Former India cricket team fast bowler S. Sreesanth recently picked his All-Time Good Boys XI, consisting of players from across the world.

He included five Indian players, including himself, two Pakistani players, and one player each from Australia, Bangladesh, the West Indies, and South Africa.

The former bowler named Sourav Ganguly as the captain of his team. Notably, he did not include any wicketkeeper-batsman in his team.

In a conversation with Sportskeeda, the former Indian pacer picked Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli, Sourav Ganguly, Harbhajan Singh, and himself.

All these players are known for their aggressive play on the cricket field. He also selected Ricky Ponting as the sole Australian in his All-Time Good Boys XI.

The former cricketer’s All-Time Good Boys XI includes Shoaib Akhtar and Shahid Afridi from the Pakistan national cricket team.

His team also features Shakib Al Hasan from Bangladesh, Kieron Pollard from the West Indies, and Andre Nel from South Africa.

He picked Gautam Gambhir as the opener along with Virat Kohli. He mentioned, "Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli will be opening." It's worth mentioning that Kohli began his international career as an opener with Gambhir. Ricky Ponting is positioned at number three in the batting order.

Sourav Ganguly is placed fourth in the lineup. The Kerala-born cricketer also selected Sourav as captain, with Ricky Ponting as his deputy. Sreesanth placed Shahid Afridi at number five, followed by all-rounders Shakib Al Hasan and Kieron Pollard at number six and number seven, respectively.

"Shakib, Shakib, how do I forget? He doesn't leave umpires. Then there will be Kiran Pollard. He will play with plaster. He has a lot of work," he said.

The 41-year-old included Harbhajan Singh, Shoaib Akhtar, Andre Nel, and himself as specialist bowlers. He added, "Then on the 11th, there will be... Only one. The one who took revenge on Nel. Sreesanth. New ball, me and... Shoaib Akhtar will bowl. If the team is made and I am not, it can't happen."

Sreesanth Last Played For India In 2011

Sreesanth played 27 Tests, 53 ODIs, and 10 T20Is for India. He took 87, 75, and 7 wickets in three formats, respectively. He last played for India in 2011.

The former pacer received a life ban from the BCCI for his alleged involvement in the 2013 IPL spot-fixing scandal, which was later reduced to a 7-year suspension.

His ban ended in September 2020, and he rejoined the Kerala team in 2021. However, the fast bowler announced his retirement in 2022.

During his IPL career from 2008 to 2013, he played for the Kings XI Punjab and the Rajasthan Royals. His career was marred by the spot-fixing scandal in 2013.
