Jasprit Bumrah is in very good form for India in the ongoing World Cup. He has already taken 8 wickets in just three games including a four-wicket haul against Afghanistan. In the match against Pakistan in Ahmedabad, Bumrah picked up 2/19.
He dismissed Mohammad Rizwan and Shadab Khan as Pakistan were bowled out for 191 after being 155/2 at one point. Bumrah was also awarded the Player Of The Match for his match-winning spell.
Former Australian skipper Aaron Finch in an interaction with ESPN Cricinfo, spoke about how he started his career as a predominantly inswing bowler to becoming a bowler who can swing it both ways. He also spoke about the difficulties he had in facing him.

” When Bumrah staretd , he was predominantly iswing to the right-hander with the ability to hold the line. So I used to always open up my front leg tpo avoid that ball swinnging back in. And then one series he started bowling outswingers non-stop and then the ocassional inswingers. Its so hard to see because his wrist is so good. Its only a sublte change its just in or just out” said Finch.
When asked about the best way to face the Indian pacer he said with a smile “retire like I did”.

Speaking about Bumrah, he came back fit into the side after his lower back injury. Since his comeback, he has been a potent pacer for India and a great addition to the side. His return to the side has also been a morale-boosting one for the Men in Blue.
Jasprit Bumrah spoke about his performance against Pakistan in the post-match presentation after he was chosen as the Man of the Match.
“It felt good. Usually you try to analyse the wicket as soon as possible. We realised the wicket is on the slower side so we wanted to bowl hard lengths. We were trying to make it as difficult as possible. (On how he reads pitches quickly and understands what lengths work) Just being aware I guess. I used to ask a lot of questions when I was young and that helps me now.
“Now I’m experienced. In my younger days they (seniors) were used to being troubled by me sometimes (with questions), but it helps to read the wicket and try different options. (On the slower ball to get rid of Rizwan) We were bowling in the middle overs and I saw Jaddu’s ball was turning, not too much but a little bit” said Bumrah after the match.
India are topping the points table with six points from three wins and an NRR of +1.821. India play Bangladesh next on October 19 in Pune while Pakistan play Australia on October 20 in Bengaluru.
