Indian captain Rohit Sharma has been issued three traffic challans for over-speeding on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway by the Traffic Police Authority as per the reports in Pune Mirror. The opening batter was driving the car himself to Pune to join the team for the clash against Bangladesh in the ICC World Cup 2023.

The reports suggested that Indian captain Rohit Sharma drove the car at high speed and was traveling at 200 km/h and also touched 215 km/h at times. The batter is often seen driving the car himself as many videos of him have gone viral on the internet.

The Senior batter had traveled to Mumbai for personal reasons after India’s practice session on Tuesday (17th October). On his way back to Pune he got three challans for overspeeding.

Coming to his form Rohit Sharma has been in the red-hot form in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023. The opening batter has looked a class apart and is India’s leading run-getter in the tournament with over 200 runs to his name.

Rohit Sharma bagged a duck in India’s opening game against Australia. However, after that, he made a strong comeback and smashed a sensational ton against Afghanistan. He then took Pakistan bowlers to the cleaners and smashed 86 runs in that game.

Apart from his batting, Rohit Sharma has done a terrific job as a captain of the side. Under his leadership, India have won three out of their three games and are at the top of the table. With the way he has carried his team, it’s fair to say that they are favorites to win.

IND vs BAN: Keep calm and keep moving forward – Rohit Sharma after India’s win over Pakistan

India outplayed Pakistan in the ICC World Cup 2023. They bundled out the opposition for 191 runs and then chased the target with 7 wickets in hand. After the game, Rohit Sharma said that they want to keep their fingers crossed and move forward. He added that they want to stay balanced and move forward. He explained:

“My job as a captain is important there as well. It’s to read the conditions and figure out who’s the right guy to do the job. It’s only because the guys – before entering the WC – they got a lot of runs. We were very clear what we wanted to do. Didn’t want to be in two minds about who’s going to bat where.

All in all, it’s looking good. Want to keep my fingers crossed. Don’t want to get too excited. Don’t want to get too low as well. Want to stay balanced. Keep calm and keep moving forward.”

India will be next seen in action when they will take on Bangladesh on Thursday (19th October).
