India National Cricket Team batter Virat Kohli is putting in everything to prepare for the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The series between the two teams will kick start on 19th September at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Kohli will be one of the key factors for the Indian team in the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh. This will be the first time he will be featuring for the team in the longest format of the game since playing against the South Africa National Cricket Team in the Test series in January earlier this year.

On Monday (16th September), Kohli was engaged in an intense net session. The premier batter was against fast bowlers in the nets and he left no stone unturned in their preparation. As per the reports in Sportstar, it is learned that the batter was tested by the Jasprit Bumrah's wide range of variety.

The reports claimed that Bumrah moved ball both the ways in the nets against Kohli, who safely negotiated most of the balls. The batter, however, didn't even try to attack the bowling maestro, as he preferred blocking and leaving the ball.

During the session, Jasprit Bumrah outfoxed Virat Kohli as the ball moved in sharply and jabbed back into him. The batter attempted the flick as the ball rapped him on the pads. This amazed the fast bowler as he went up and celebrated the batter's imaginary wicket.

As Bumrah walked back to the run-up, he asked for DRS. But Virat Kohli didn't agree that the fast bowler got him as he gestured that the ball was missing a leg and he was not out. Along with Kohli, Yashasvi Jaiswal was the one who ground hard in the nets and gave his best.

The reports also claimed that Virat Kohli also faced tall Gurnoor Brar in the nets and looked in a tad discomfort. The fast bowler made the batter hopping initially. But soon after that he settled and read him better. Following that, he played authoritative and intent-filled shots against him.

Virat Kohli plays spinners positively in the net session

The reports added that Virat Kohli didn't go easy on spinners. The batter showed no cautious approach towards the spin duo of Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin. He batted for 15 minutes and, after that, concluded the session by stepping out to them twice and dispatching them with some lusty blows.

With the kind of performance Virat Kohli showed in the net sessions, it is expected that he would set the stage on fire in the Test series.

This was India's second session after September 14th. The players took a break on Sunday, but all 16 of them turned with 48 hours to go for the series opener. It will be a great opportunity for them to solidify their position at the top of the World Test Championship.
