India vs England 2021: India's No. 3 And No. 5 Problem Is Still There - Aakash Chopra Reckons

Former Indian batsman Aakash Chopra highlighted the fact that the Indian middle-order has been looked shaky with Pujara and Rahane struggling to find a form with the bat. Cheteshwar Pujara has particularly struggled to score a century in the last two years and he looks vulnerable to the English conditions.
Ajinkya Rahane on the other hand after a magnificent century at Melbourne in the Australia tour last year hasn’t been at his best and has gone through a string of low scores in his last 15 test innings. He looks totally low on confidence and this could be some worrying sign for the Indian team.

Aakash Chopra Reveals Pujara and Rahane Are Looking Uncertain
With Pujara and Rahane have been the pillars of the side for almost a decade now, it is true that they aren’t the same impact players as in the past. Aakash Chopra noted that both these batsmen have been looking very shaky and uncertain and their future could be in jeopardy if they get dropped as the age factor might not help their comeback.
“India’s No.3 and No.5 problem is still there but it is getting hidden slightly because the others are doing well. But the fact is that Pujara is looking uncertain, a little shaky, and the same can be said about Ajinkya Rahane,” Aakash Chopra told on his YouTube Channel.

“Their Wagon Is Stuck Somewhat” – Aakash Chopra
Aakash Chopra highlighted Rahane’s dismissal on the first ball he faced on the second day and it has been a familiar story with him and Pujara for a considerable period of time now. Rahane was caught in the slips playing a delivery that he should have left alone and Chopra mentioned that their run-scoring abilities have been halted. He hoped that the two batters get back their form soon.
“Ajinkya Rahane got out on the first ball. Jimmy Anderson – it was a delivery outside off, played and got caught in the slips. I used to call one of them dependable and the other consistent but currently, their wagon is stuck somewhat. I really hope that they get back on track,” he added.

India has the likes of Hanuma Vihari and Suryakumar Yadav on the bench who can fill in the roles of these out-of-form players.
