IND vs ENG: "Ishan Kishan Ka Career Khatam" - Twitter Shocked As Wicketkeeper Misses Out On Test Selection

Fans on X reacted after keeper-batter Ishan Kishan missed out on the Indian squad for the two Test matches against England. The Rohit Sharma-led side will host Three Lions in five games from 25th January. 

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday (12th January) announced the Indian squad for the first two Test against England. One of the notable exclusions from the squad was of young dynamic Ishan Kishan. 

In this place, BCCI has given a maiden call-up to keeper-batter Dhruv Jurel and also KS Bharat has been retained in the team as a keeper along with KL Rahul. Since the last few weeks, there have been a lot of talks and rumors surrounding Ishan Kishan. 

Ishan Kishan pulled out of the Test series against South Africa citing mental fatigue and also didn’t feature in the T20I series against Afghanistan. There were reports which suggested that BCCI dropped Kishan from the squad due to disciplinary grounds. 

The reports stated that Ishan Kishan was seen partying in Dubai and also attended the TV quiz when he cited mental fatigue. This didn’t go well with BCCI as they dropped him from the team and as per the reports it was learned that it could hamper even future selections. 

But head coach Rahul Dravid recently confirmed that there was no disciplinary action and Ishan Kishan wasn’t picked for Afghanistan T20Is because he hasn’t made himself available. But with keeper-batter not making the cut into the team for England Tests, it again has sparked a few rumors.
