"Ravindra Jadeja robbed.."- Twitter slams Marais Erasmus after his controversial decision on Day 3 of Hyderabad Test

Ravindra Jadeja failed to reach his century on Day 3 of the ongoing India vs England 1st Test. Ravindra Jadeja got LBW by part-time spinner Joe Root at 87. He slammed 7 fours and 2 sixes during his knock and was looking set to smack a century.

However, Ravindra Jadeja’s dismissal was controversial and it fueled fire among fans on Twitter (now X). Fans were not happy with the on-field umpire Marais Erasmus‘ decision. When reviewed, the replays did not show ‘hitting the wickets’.

Notably, the ball hit the bails quite high, and even the DRS turned it back to the umpire’s call. Since the on-field umpire termed Ravindra Jadeja out, he had to leave the field. However, Indian cricket fans were not happy with on-field umpire Marais Erasmus’ controversial decision.

Ravindra Jadeja Is Not Out! Umpire’s Doubtful Dismissal Fires Fuel Among Fans On X

Fans showed frustration for on-field umpire Marais Erasmus’ decision on X. Some fans called him a cheater and accused him of making wrong decisions against Team India. Some fans also expressed disappointment over Ravindra Jadeja missing his ton due to the wrong call. Have a look at some of the tweets.

Shockingly, Ravindra Jadeja was also given out LBW by the umpire on Day 2. However, Jadeja reviewed it as his bat hit the ball first. As a result, he was adjudged not out by third-umpire later.

Nonetheless, Ravindra Jadeja delivered a marvellous show with both bat and ball. The left-arm spinner also clinched 3 wickets earlier, in addition to his 87 runs. Notably, Yashasvi Jaiswal, (80) and KL Rahul (86) also scored in the 80’s and missed their centuries in the match.

However, in response to England’s 246, India arrived with a massive total of 436-10 in 1st innings taking a 190-run lead. Axar Patel also added 44 runs towards the end. Joe Root grabbed a four-wicket haul for England.
