Jasprit Bumrah gets another breakthrough as he gets the wicket of Ben Duckett who was clean bowled by the speedster during the third day’s play of the first Test. Bumrah gives an aggressive send-off to the England opener after the incident involving Duckett getting a lifeline after the replay shows him LBW but India did not take a review which left Bumrah fuming on skipper Rohit Sharma.

Jasprit Bumrah took Duckett’s wicket in his very next over after the whole incident happened with Duckett given not out by the umpire and India not taking a review on what could have been a wicket. Ben Duckett departed after scoring 47 off 52. Ben Duckett was looking in good touch as he smashed seven boundaries in his innings and then had his stumps flying against the Indian pace maestro Jasprit Bumrah.

Jasprit Bumrah is the only fast bowler in this match who has got wickets to his name. Mohammed Siraj and Mark Wood are the other two pacers who have taken part in the match but both are currently wicketless. Bumrah appealed for an LBW in his previous over but was denied and Rohit Sharma asked wicketkeeper KS Bharat for his input on DRS but the keeper was not sure and as a result, DRS was not taken.

However, the ball-tracker showed LBW and India missed out on the opportunity to claim the wicket which left Jasprit Bumrah fuming. He rattled the opener’s off-stump and gave an aggressive send-off as the stump went on a cartwheel trip.

Jasprit Bumrah also got Joe Root in the next over as the England batter was trapped in front of the stumps by the Indian pacer which led to the fall of his wicket. Joe Root got the wicket of Jasprit Bumrah when India was batting, getting him clean bowled on a golden duck. Jasprit Bumrah took his revenge as he sent Joe Root back to the pavilion on a meagre score of 2. India took a 190-run lead after the first innings and is currently holding a strong position against the Three Lions in the first Test which is being played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad.

India is hosting England for a five-match Test series with the first Test already going on. The other four Tests will be played in Vishakhapatnam, Rajkot, Ranchi and Dharamsala respectively. India has won 16 consecutive series at home in the red-ball format since the defeat against England in 2012. England holds the distinction of being the last team to beat India in a Test series on Indian soil.
