The mood in the Indian camp is highly positive at the moment. Team India have made a stunning start to their campaign in the ongoing ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.

One of the strongest contenders to win the coveted title this year, the Men in Blue are currently sitting at the top of the points table with five wins from as many games. Barring the opening match against Australia where they were under pressure for a while after losing 3 quick wickets while chasing, The Men in Blue have looked almost unstoppable so far.

They thrashed five-time world champions Australia by 6 wickets to start their campaign before registering an 8-wicket win over Afghanistan when they chased down 273 runs in just 35 overs. It was followed by an impressive 7-wicket win over Pakistan after the hosts bowled their arch-rivals out for 191 and chased down the total inside 31 overs.

The Men in Blue defeated Bangladesh by the same margin while chasing 257 runs. In their last game, they were up against New Zealand who had won their first four games. The hosts went on to beat the Black Caps by 4 wickets to prove their title credentials.

India support staff unwinds in Dharamsala:

Following the win over New Zealand in the picturesque Dharamsala, The Support staff made the most of their stay in the Himalayan town. After the win, head coach Rahul Dravid, along with other members of the support staff, decided to go on a trek from a place called Galu to Triund.

“Once you come here, the views are breathtaking, spectacular. I mean, it’s incredible, I think for the support staff to be able to come here. Unfortunately, you can’t bring the boys out here because it’s too risky walking on those stones,” Dravid said.

Earlier, the BCCI had decided against allowing the players to go on a trek in Dharamsala in order to save them from any injuries.

“The team management has informed players that they can’t go trekking, they can go out but can’t do trekking. At the same time during the series no Indian player can even do paragliding as it can go against the player contract,” a BCCI official told Indian Express.
