Travis Head excited for potential India vs Australia T20 World Cup 2024 Final

Recently, Head has shared his thoughts on a potential India vs Australia final in the T20 World Cup 2024. The Australian batter believes that Team India will be driven by a desire for revenge after suffering defeats at the hands of Australia in the finals of the WTC and ODI World Cup last year.

Travis Head was quoted as saying by Times of India: “It would be nice. It would be nice to be in the final. I think everyone in India would love that, especially considering what's happened in the last two finals. So, I'm sure India wants some revenge at some point. There would be good theater around it if that were the case. Let's hope that we're in it, and let's hope you're in it, and we'll see what happens.”

Head also shared his experience of playing in the IPL 2024 for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). He said that it was a really enjoyable stint and that it was very nice to have familiar faces like Pat Cummins and Daniel Vettori on the team. Head hailed Abhishek Sharma as an exceptional talent and said he really loved his time with the youngster in the IPL 2024.

Notably, India will kick off their T20 World Cup 2024 campaign against Ireland on June 5 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York, while Australia will play their first game against Oman on June 6 at Kensington Oval in Barbados.
