The 22-year-old India National Cricket Team leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi made an instant impact with the ball in the first T20I of the three-match series against Ireland National Cricket Team by dismissing their skipper Paul Stirling at the Malahide in Dublin on Friday, August 18.
Ireland skipper Stirling, who opened the innings for his side, was the only batter who looked decent out in the middle against the Indian bowlers. However, he wasn’t able to play a big innings for his side as he was stunned by Bishnoi’s wrong’un on the second ball of the 6th over.
The young leg-spinner bowled a length ball outside off-stump and Stirling tried to go for a big hit over extra cover. The batter didn’t read the googly and the ball spun in sharply to shatter the stumps. Stirling scored just 11 runs off 11 balls, including one four, before getting dismissed.

This attack consisting of Arshdeep, Bumrah, and Prasidh might just be too much to handle – Ravichandran Ashwin
India won the toss and opted to bowl first in the match. Pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna, who are returning from injury, made the most of the decision to bowl first as they ran through the Irish top-order. Bumrah dismissed Paul Stirling and Lorcan Tucker in the first over while Krishna cleaned up George Dockrell and Harry Tector.
Veteran India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin took to X to share his views on the Indian bowling dismantling the Ireland batting unit and said that Jasprit Bumrah, Prasidh Krishna, and Arshdeep Singh are too much to handle for Irish batters.
“Last time India toured Ireland for T 20 s, the home side were more than competitive but this time I really doubt there would be a fight. We won a game defending 225 by 4 runs last time!
