Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah shared a heartwarming post for Stuart Broad on his retirement. Taking to Twitter, Jasprit Bumrah congratulated Stuart Broad for his remarkable career. England pacer Stuart Broad retired from all forms of cricket after Ashes 2023.

The right-arm pacer hunted more than 600 wickets in Test cricket and more than 800 overall across three formats. During the 5th Test of Ashes 2023, Broad announced his Test retirement.

Jasprit Bumrah Congratulates Stuart Broad On His Retirement

Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah took to Twitter to congratulate Stuart Broad on his retirement. In his tweet, the Indian pacer said that Broad’s contribution to the game has been immense.

“Congratulations on a remarkable career @StuartBroad8! Your contribution to the game has been immense. Wishing you the best for everything that lies ahead”, Bumrah wrote on Twitter. Have a look at his tweet below. 

Broad also showed marvelous form in Ashes 2023 series. The 37-year-old grabbed 22 wickets across 5 games at an average of 28.41. Broad finished as the highest wicket-taker for his team in the series. Overall, he was behind Australia pacer Michell Starc, who hunted 23 wickets in the series.

Making his international debut in 2007, Broad had a stunning career that spanned over 16 years. In 167 Tests, 121 ODIs, and 56 T20Is, the England pacer hunted 847 wickets. Since 2016, he only represented England in Test cricket.

Jasprit Bumrah To Make Comeback In IND vs IRE Series

Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah is all set to make his international comeback. Bumrah, who last played for India in September 2022, was out of the field due to a back injury. He underwent back surgery earlier this year and is now fit to take the field.

The 29-year-old is all set to lead India in a T20I series against Ireland this month. The IND vs IRE T20I series will witness three encounters from August 18 to 23.

Bumrah will lead a young side in the series. Senior players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, and Ravindra Jadeja among others have been rested in the series against Ireland.
