IND vs NEP: Watch: Hardik Pandya's Funny Reaction After Umpires Call For Covers And Send Them Back Twice

The IND vs NEP Asia Cup 2023 game is currently stopped due to rain. The rain finally came down heavily after threatening twice previously to come down at a rate of knots. Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya kind of predicted that the rain would stay away and it did.

Hardik Pandya saw the funny side of things when the on-field umpires Paul Wilson and Ruchira Palliyaguruge called for the covers twice and then asked them to be taken off with the rain not coming down as expected.

The rain, however, finally came heavily during the 38th over of the Nepal innings. They were 178/6 when the rain came in forcing the umpires to stop play. The players from both teams went back to the pavilion as the match was well poised for Nepal to post a total above 250 and challenge India.

The Men in Blue need to win this match at any cost to make the Super 4s. Their previous match against Pakistan was washed out due to rain after the Men in Blue were bowled out for 266. Rain prevented the Pakitan response as they could not come out to bat and the points had to be shared in the end.

The Men in Green have already reached the Super 4s having beaten Nepal in their first game and earning a point from the India game. The Men in Blue is expected to make it to the Super 4s even if their match against Nepal gets washed out.

They already have a point and a rained-out game against Nepal will also give them a point making it two points from two games. Nepal will also get a point if the match gets rained out and will finish third on the table.

The Nepal openers added 65 runs inside the first 10 overs with the Indian team dropping three catches inside the first 10 overs. Ravindra Jadeja with figures of 3/35 has been the most successful bowler for India in the match so far.
