IND vs NEP: Watch - Ishan Kishan's Excellent Flying Catch To Dismiss Sompal Kami In Asia Cup 2023

The India National Cricket Team wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan grabbed an excellent flying catch to send the Nepal National Cricket Team all-rounder Sompal Kami packing on Monday, September 4.

In the 5th match of Asia Cup 2023 Group A teams – Rohit Sharma-led India National Cricket Team and Rohit Paudel-led Nepal National Cricket Team – are locking horns at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.

Ishan Kishan has been performing really well for India in batting as well wicket-keeping department. In the match against Nepal, he dropped an easy catch behind the wickets early on in the innings.

However, he redeemed himself perfectly by performing extremely well since then. He grabbed three catches and inflicted a run-out as well. His best work came when he plucked a stunning flying catch in the 48th over.

On the second ball of the over, Mohammed Shami bowled a short of a length delivery around off-stump and Kami tried to play it to third man but he only managed to get an outside edge and the ball flew to the right of the keeper. Ishan Kishan made no mistakes and timed his dive to perfection to grab a sensational catch.

Sompal Kami missed out on a well-deserved half-century as he scored 48 runs off 56 balls, with 1 four and 2 sixes, before walking back to the dugout.

India won the toss and opted to bowl first in the match. They restricted Nepal to 230 with Mohammed Siraj and Ravindra Jadeja picking three wickets each. Mohammed Shami, Hardik Pandya, and Shardul Thakur bagged one wicket each while Kuldeep Yadav was the only bowler who went wicketless in the match. For Nepal, it was Aasif Sheikh, who finished as the top run-getter with 58 runs in his bag.
