India National Cricket Team captain Rohit Sharma played an innings of the highest quality in the ICC Men???s Cricket World Cup 2023 match against Tom Latham-led New Zealand National Cricket Team at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala on Sunday, October 22.
During the run-chase, Rohit Sharma played his natural attacking brand of cricket and smashed the bowlers all over the park despite the ball seaming around up front. He looked in beast mode and smashed 4 brilliant fours and 4 outstanding sixes.
Rohit looked set for a big knock, but his innings was cut short by the New Zealand express pacer Lockie Ferguson in the 12th over of the innings. The Indian captain was back in the hut after scoring 46 runs off 40 balls, but his innings was absolutely stupendous.
Meanwhile, Lockie Ferguson came to bowl the 12th over and on the first delivery, he dismissed Rohit. Ferguson bowled a slow wide seam-up delivery, and Rohit Sharma casually dragged it back into his stumps.

Earlier, India won the toss and invited the Black Caps to bat first in the match. The Men In Blue got off to a great start as they removed the Kiwi openers for low scores.
However, Daryl Mitchell and Rachin Ravindra stitched together a sensational 159 runs in 152 balls to help New Zealand make a stunning comeback in the match. Daryl Mitchell smashed 130 runs off 127 balls, including 9 fours and 5 sixes, while Rachin Ravindra scored 75 runs off 87 balls, with 6 fours and 1 six.
For India, Mohammed Shami was the pick of the bowlers as he bagged a sensational 5-wicket haul. Shami was playing his first World Cup 2023 game and his inclusion in the team was made possible due to the injury sustained by Hardik Pandya.
