Cricket commentators Sanjay Manjrekar and Irfan Pathan brutally trolled the Pakistan team during the live commentary of their clash against the United States. Both of them feel that Gary Kirsten will have a tough time as Pakistan's coach in the coming years.

Gary Kirsten has been appointed as the Pakistan Team's Head Coach and will guide the team in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2024. However, the former South Africa stalwart didn't have a good start in his new role with Pakistan's defeat in the opening game.

Pakistan lost to the United States in their first match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 and global cricket fans were stunned to learn the result. Pakistan set a target of 160 for the US and the match went into the super over, where US batters put up a 19-run target to eventually win the game.

Notably, Gary Kirsten is regarded as one of the best foreign coaches in India. Under his guidance, India won their ICC ODI World Cup 2011 with skipper MS Dhoni. Now, Kirsten is working with the Pakistan team in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

Pakistan to face India in their next clash

Talking about the match, the United States piled up 18 runs across 6 deliveries by Mohammad Amir. The left-arm pacer leaked just one boundary, however, bowled three wides which helped the US to reach 18 in the super over.

Later, Pakistan lost Iftikhar Ahmed in the 4th delivery by Saurabh Netravalkar. He ended with 13 runs for 1 wicket off his over to defend the target and lead the United States to victory.

Meanwhile, Pakistan will next face India in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. The India vs Pakistan encounter is scheduled to be played on Sunday, June 9 at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.

Both teams are part of Group A with the United States, Canada, and Ireland. Only the top two teams in the points table will reach the final.
