IND vs PAK: Huge Blow For Pakistan! Naseem Shah Walks Off The Field Injured During India Clash

In a massive blow for the Pakistan National Cricket Team, the 20-year-old right-arm fast bowler Naseem Shah was forced to leave the field after he suffered an injury during the Asia Cup 2023 Super Four clash against India National Cricket Team at the R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo on Monday, September 11.

Naseem Shah was the only Pakistan bowler who looked good against the Indian batters in the match. He bowled excellent lines and lengths on both days of the match but was unfortunate as his wicket column was empty.

Naseem Shah bowled 9.2 overs in the match and conceded 53 runs before he was taken off the field. As he was bowling his final over in the 49th over of the match, he completed just two deliveries and there was a small break as Kohli was changing his gloves and Naseem looked in some kind of trouble.

The young pacer was in pain and he was seen holding his hand while walking off the field without completing his over. Iftikhar, who had a very bad day with the ball was called to complete his over. The extent of the injury of Naseem Shah is unknown as of yet.

Pakistan will be hoping that nothing is serious as the pacer had faced some shoulder issues ahead of the tournament. Also, during the match against Bangladesh in the Asia Cup, Naseem Shah was taken off the field after he injured his shoulder while fielding. However, he returned to bowl in that game.

Naseem Shah’s Bowling Partner Haris Rauf Got Ruled Out Of India Clash

Ahead of the match on Monday, Pakistan were handed a massive injury blow as Haris Rauf was ruled out of the rest of the game after bowling 5 overs on Sunday. The pacer felt a little discomfort in his right flank during the match yesterday and was subsequently taken for a precautionary MRI, which revealed no tear.

“Fast bowler Haris Rauf will not be bowling any further in the Asia Cup Super 4 match against India as a precautionary measure.
