Pakistan National Cricket Team have once again announced their playing XI a day before the match in the Asia Cup 2023. The Babar Azam-led side will take on Rohit Sharma-led India National Cricket Team in the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup 2023 on September 10 at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
The Men In Green have decided to field the same playing XI against India which recently registered a convincing 7-wicket victory over the Bangladesh National Cricket Team in the first match of the Asia Cup 2023 Super Four stage.
Losing the toss and bowling first, Pakistan pacers, especially Haris Rauf, once again shined and dismantled the Bangladesh batting unit and restricted them to 193.
Chasing the target, Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam fell early but Imam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Rizwan hit terrific half-centuries to guide their side to a 7-wicket win with 63 balls remaining.

We aren’t frustrated about the weather – Pakistan captain Babar Azam
Speaking at a pre-match press conference, Babar Azam said that they are not worried about the weather in Colombo despite the forecast of rain. He said that the weather is not in their control and their entire focus is on the controllable.
“We aren’t frustrated about the weather because it is not in our control. The forecast said it will rain all 4 days, but the way sun us shining right now suggest otherwise. We are trying to utilise all the days we get,” Babar said.
Notably, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has announced a reserve day for the India vs Pakistan Super Four clash. In case the rain plays spoilsport, the match will continue on 11th September from the point at which it was suspended. Other than India vs Pakistan, only the final of the continental tournament has a reserve day.
