During the absence of Shreyas Iyer, Rohit Sharma-led India have struggled with the batting lineup, especially in the middle order. Many batsmen tried to audition for the number 4 place, but no one could excel in that spot like the 28-year-old has done.

Shreyas Iyer’s return to the squad will give a lot of confidence to the players since they will get their strength back ahead of the forthcoming tournaments like Asia Cup and ODI World Cup 2023.

The 28-year-old’s return to the squad before the ODI World Cup 2023 has been crucial. Since Rohit Sharma won’t leave any loose ends during the extravaganza tournament which might cost them the trophy. The 36-year-old skipper has been under a lot of pressure as the Men in Blues have failed to win any ICC trophies in the past 10 years.
