Reporters present at the stadium ahead of Thursday’s match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have informed of rolled-up covers being placed near the boundary ropes. The outfield is also wet due to heavy rainfall on Wednesday and the forecast for the remainder of the week is also very concerning.

As per the weather report for Saturday (September 2), there is a chance of rain from 1:00 AM to 3:00 AM. And although the India vs Pakistan match will begin at 3:00 PM, heavy rain could spoil the party. There are also high chances of rain from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. AccuWeather has also predicted another spell of showers from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Looking at the forecast, it would not be wrong to say that there is a chance of the entire match getting washed out. Fans will be hoping that rain stays away and they get to see India and Pakistan in action on Saturday.
