Indian skipper Rohit Sharma created history during the team’s convincing eight-wicket victory against Afghanistan in the ICC World Cup 2023. Rohit Sharma broke legendary all-rounder Kapil Dev’s record to score the fastest hundred by an Indian in the World Cup.

The Indian bowlers restricted the opposition to 272 runs in Delhi on Wednesday, October 11. In response, the Men in Blue successfully chased down the target with 15 overs to spare. Rohit Sharma scored 131 runs from just 84 deliveries, including 16 boundaries and five sixes.

I know it’s a long way to go ahead, and I don’t want to lose my focus. Focus on what the team requires of me and then make it count,” Rohit said.
