Star all-rounder Shadab Khan recently responded to India’s Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar’s remarks about Pakistan’s fast bowling attack. Shadab Khan emphasized that the outcome will be determined when the two teams play against each other in an international match.

During a press conference, Ajit Agarkar made a bold claim about Virat Kohli‘s ability to handle Pakistan’s top ODI bowlers in the upcoming Asia Cup match. Ajit Agarkar stated that Virat Kohli would manage Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi while discussing India’s strategy.

Those Are Just Words – Shadab Khan

However, Shadab Khan was not impressed with Ajit Agarkar’s words and stated that they were merely words without practical impact.

“It depends on a particular day, probably. Now, someone from India or me can make any claim, but those are just words. Anybody can say anything and that doesn’t change or affect anything. When we will have the match, then we might see what goes on,” he said.

Virat Kohli has a strong record against Pakistan in multinational tournaments. Kohli delivered under pressure and contributed to India’s victory in the encounter in the T20 World Cup 2022. Notably, he smashed two crucial sixes off Haris Rauf in the penultimate over of the match.

The Rohit Sharma-led team will face off against the Men in Green at the Pallekele International Stadium on Saturday, September 2nd. They haven’t competed in the 50-over format for the last four years, with their most recent encounter taking place during the 2019 World Cup.
