Star Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan stated that the team is eager to dominate India in their third match of the ICC World Cup 2023. Shadab Khan expressed their determination to silence the Indian crowd in the highly anticipated match at the world’s largest stadium.
The Babar Azam-led team are currently facing the Rohit Sharma-led team in the 12th match of the World Cup at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The hosts have an impressive record against Pakistan in the 50-over World Cup, having won all seven encounters.

Speaking ahead of the India-Pakistan match, Shadab Khan mentioned that silencing the crowd indicates their team’s strong performance, hoping to achieve it in Ahmedabad.
“We want to silence the Indian crowd today! If the crowd is silenced, that means we are doing well and we want to do it in Ahmedabad today,” Shadab Khan said.
The majority of Pakistan cricketers are playing on Indian soil for the first time in their cricketing careers. Only Mohammad Nawaz and Salman Ali Agha have visited India before. The Men in Green last played in the neighboring country for the 2016 T20 World Cup.

The spin bowling all-rounder highlighted that their poor record against India is history, and they are focused on securing their first 50-over World Cup victory against India.
“7-0 is past, it’s history! We defeated India for the first time in T20 World Cup in 2021 and we will defeat them for the first time in 50-over World Cups in Ahmedabad today,” he added.
The Men in Green secured a victory over the Indian cricket team during the 2021 T20 World Cup. Pakistan registered a convincing 10-wicket victory over the archrivals under the leadership of Babar Azam, the only Pakistan captain to achieve this feat in a World Cup match.
The Babar Azam-led team retained the same playing XI for the ongoing match against the Men in Blue. The Pakistan team got off to a good start after being asked to bat after losing the toss.
