Star Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi is all set to marry Shahid Afridi’s daughter, Ansha Afridi, for the second time, following the conclusion of the Asia Cup 2023. According to reports in Pakistani media, Shaheen Afridi will tie the knot with Ansha Afridi later this month in Karachi.
The couple is having a second wedding ceremony in order to celebrate with a larger group of people. As per the reports, the main Barat ceremony is scheduled for September 19 in Karachi while the Walima reception for Pakistan’s star bowler will take place on September 21 in Islamabad.
Shaheen Afridi To Tie Knot With Ansha Afridi On September 19
Shaheen Afridi and Ansha were initially married in “tribal tradition” on February 3 of this year after getting engaged in 2021. Their wedding was a private affair attended by limited guests, close relatives, and friends, including national teammates like captain Babar Azam and Shadab Khan.
Qadir Khawaja, the sports journalist for Samaa TV, took to his official X (formerly known as Twitter) handle to announce the news of Shaheen Afridi’s marriage.
“Fakhta Told me that national team’s star fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi will tie the knot after the Asia Cup. Shaheen Afridi’s barat ceremony will be held on September 19 in Karachi and Walima ceremony will be held in a private hotel of Islamabad on 21st sep Gud luck,” Qadir Khawaja wrote.

Shaheen Afridi, currently participating in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023, has been in impressive form. The left-arm pacer is the second-highest wicket-taker in the tournament, taking seven wickets in three matches at an excellent average of 14.86 and an economy rate of 4.73.
The 23-year-old recently stated that his best is yet to come, saying, “Every match against India is special, and people watch this a lot. I used to wait for this match as a fan before I played under-16 cricket. I can’t say this has been my best spell so far. This is just the start, and there will be many more, so the best is yet to come.”
