Indian middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav humorously requested his family and friends not to ask for match tickets during the ICC World Cup 2023. Suryakumar Yadav advised them to watch the cricket matches comfortably at home on good-quality televisions.

Suryakumar Yadav’s statement came ahead of the Men in Blue’s upcoming match against arch-rivals Pakistan at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday, October 14. The highly anticipated World Cup match will be played in front of over 120,000 fans.

Suryakumar Yadav took to his official Instagram account and shared a post, indicating that people shouldn’t bother him for stadium tickets. Instead, Suryakumar suggested watching the game on their high-quality TVs with air conditioning.

“Bhailog ghar pe acche acche TV hain sabke enjoy karo, aur AC mein baith ke match dekho. No more ticket requests pls, (Guys, there are good quality TVs at home, enjoy the matches comfortably in the AC. No more ticket requests, please)” Suryakumar wrote in his Instagram story.

Suryakumar Yadav failed to make it to the XI for the first two matches. The right-handed batter is unlikely to be included in the starting lineup unless there are injury concerns in the middle order.

Earlier, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma made it clear that they don’t want people to request World Cup tickets from them. Kohli asked his friends not to ask for tickets, and Anushka added that she couldn’t help if her husband didn’t respond to those messages.

The Rohit Sharma-led team have started their World Cup campaign with consecutive victories in front of an enthusiastic crowd. The hosts beat Australia by six wickets in Chennai and registered a convincing eight-wicket victory against Afghanistan in their next match in Delhi.
