Left-handed batsman, Tilak Varma shared a cryptic post and dropped a major hint on whether he will play in the upcoming high-voltage match against Pakistan.
Tilak Varma made his T20I debut for the Men in Blues in the West Indies tour of India where he displayed a stellar performance following which the team selectors cannot ignore the youngster from including him in the squad.
However, the player failed to showcase a praise-worthy performance in the three-game T20I series against Ireland, where he only scored three runs in the first two matches.
Based on his T20I and Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 innings, Ajit Agarkar-led India team selectors added him to the squad to give him a chance to make his 50-over format debut in the Asia Cup 2023. However, there is still doubt whether Tilak Varma will be included in the first eleven against Babar Azam’s Pakistan.
At a time when the cricket pundits have started to make predictions on Tilak Varma’s ODI debut, the player himself dropped a major hit on his official X (formerly known as Twitter) account and shared his two picture while practicing and gave a three word caption which made the fans started to guess.
“Full speed ahead,” Tilak Varma wrote while sharing two pictures on his official X account.

Soon after he posted the pictures, it went viral on social media and gained more than 47.5K views and 250+ people shared the post.
In recent times, Rohit Sharma-led India have went through a tough time recently as most of their first eleven players were injured and failed to take part in the first eleven. But before the start of the Asia Cup 2023, Shreyas Iyer, Jasprit Bumrah and KL Rahul have been included in the squad after they have recovered from their injuries.
However, KL Rahul will not be included in the first two matches in the Continental Cup as he received a niggle during practice session after recovering from his crucial thigh injury that he received during an IPL 2023 match beween Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
India will take on Babar Azam’s Pakistan in the most anticipated match of the Asia Cup on Saturday (September 2nd) at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy.
