Former Pakistan pacer Wasim Akram shared about an incident ahead of IND vs PAK encounter of Asia Cup 2023. Wasim Akram revealed he met Virat Kohli ahead of the toss and told him that the Indian stalwart comes in his dreams now.
Virat Kohli is part of the ongoing IND vs PAK clash of Asia Cup 2023. He is unbeaten on 8 runs with KL Rahul at 10 on the other end. The match is affected by rains after 24.1 overs, with India railing at 147-2 on the scoreboard.
Virat Kohli Comes In My Dreams Now- Wasim Akram
During the conversation on Star Sports, Wasim Akram revealed why he told Virat Kohli that he comes in his dreams now. According to Akram, he always sees the former Indian skipper on every television screen and this is the reason why it happens.
“Today I walked past him and told Virat Kohli that you come in my dreams now. He replied saying ‘what do you mean Wasim bhai? I told him because I see so much of you all the on the television screen. I just can’t get him out of my mind,” said Wasim Akram, who played over 100 Tests and 350 ODIs for Pakistan during his career.
The 57-year-old also noted how India vs Pakistan games are one of the most exciting ones and match winners like Kohli, Shaheen Afridi, and Babar Azam are waiting to showcase their performance in these games.
“Virat, Babar, Shaheen and all these match winners, they play this game for these moments – India vs Pakistan. I mean, for Pakistan everybody wants to perform and vice-versa. This is just made or break. Not for guys like Virat Kohli and Babar Azam but for young guys. These games are fun. Yesterday, the whole Colombo was buzzing,” added Akram.
Kohli has a magnificent record against Pakistan. The 33-year-old has slammed 548 runs in 15 ODIs against Pakistan at an average of 45.66. He has hit 2 tons and 2 fifties. In T20Is, the right-handed batter has hit 488 runs in 10 games at a fabulous average of 81.33.
