Hardik Pandya had a brilliant reaction after dismissing Shadab Khan in the recently-concluded game between India and Pakistan at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. The arch-rivals locked horns against each other in the 19th game of the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

Chasing 120, Pakistan were on 89 for 4 at the end of the 16th over when Hardik Pandya came to bowl the 17th. After Shadab Khan hit the India allrounder for two runs on the second ball, the latter bounced back in style by dismissing him on the very next delivery.

Shadab backed away to make room for himself and Hardik Pandya followed him with a short delivery. The Pakistan allrounder was cramped for room and ended up top edging the ball before Rishabh Pant took an easy catch. And as soon as Pant completed the catch, Hardik Pandya came up with a 'cold' celebration by shrugging his shoulder as if he wanted to say that dismissing Shadab was not a big deal for him.

Watch Hardik Pandya's reaction:

Talking about the game, India beat Pakistan by 6 runs in a low-scoring thriller to register their second win in as many games in the ongoing tournament. Asked to bat first, India were bowled out for just 119 runs on a tough batting pitch.

At one stage, India were comfortably placed on 89 for 3 before suffering an inexplicable collapse that saw them getting reduced to 96 for 7. Some useful contributions from the likes of Arshdeep Singh and Mohammed Siraj then helped India post 119 runs. For Pakistan, Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah picked up 3 wickets each.

With the bat, Pakistan finished their innings on 113 for 7. Pakistan were on 80 for 3 after 14 overs and were looking destined to win the game. However, India came up with a brilliant display in the final six overs to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Jasprit Bumrah starred with the ball for India, taking 3 for 14 off his 4 overs.
