The story is about his colleague's daughter, who was battling cancer and facing the tough challenge with resilience and courage. During her difficult journey, the young girl found solace in a recorded message from Kohli, arranged with the help of a journalist who shared a close bond with the batter.

The heartfelt message played a significant role in uplifting the girl's spirits and providing her with the much-needed strength to confront her illness with determination. As the girl's health gradually improved, her family expressed a desire for her to meet Kohli in person and express her gratitude for the impact his message had on her during her darkest hours.

Despite the challenges of arranging a meeting with India’s superstar, a media colleague reached out to Kohli's wife, Anushka Sharma, requesting that she manage a meeting with Kohli. In a heartwarming display of kindness, Kohli agreed to meet the young girl during the Indian cricket team's tour of Australia for the T20 World Cup 2022.

Despite his demanding schedule and commitments, Kohli spared half an hour to spend with the girl, showing warmth, humility, and genuine concern for her well-being. During their interaction, the former Indian skipper extended his heartfelt greetings to the girl for her remarkable recovery as well as offered some words of encouragement and support.

Harsha Bhogle said on his YouTube channel: “There was a colleague of mine whose daughter was very unwell and a form of cancer, and one of the journalists close to Virat Kohli just asked him to record a little message for her, which the cricketer gladly did. After that, I got been touch with the friend's daughter and she told me, you know through my worst periods that message was so important for me.

And as a celebration for her recovery, the team was in Australia for a T20 series, so through a media colleague who knew Virat's wife (Anushka) the message went across, asking her to meet me at this time at this place in the hotel and he spent half an hour with her and he was very warm and passionate asking about the recovery saying well done.”
