IND vs PAK: Watch- Iftikhar Ahmed's Brilliant Response After Journalists Calls Him 'Chacha' And Babar Azam 'Bhatija'

Iftikhar Ahmed and Babar Azam starred with the bat as Pakistan thrashed Nepal by 238 runs on Wednesday (August 30) in Multan to start their Asia Cup campaign in style.
Pakistan started their innings in a poor fashion after Babar Azam won the toss and elected to bat first. The hosts were reeling at 25 for 2 inside the 7th over before an 86-run stand between Babar and Mohammad Rizwan steadied the ship. But the good work was undone once again after Pakistan lost Rizwan and Agha Salman in a space of 13 runs.
But from thereon, it was one-way traffic as Babar and Iftikhar Ahmed sent the Nepali bowlers on a leather hunt. Both the batsmen went on to complete their centuries and shared a massive stand of 214 runs to propel Pakistan to 342/6 in the allotted 50 overs. While Babar scored 151 runs off 132 balls, Iftikhar Ahmed smashed an unbeaten 109 off just 71 balls.
Iftikhar Ahmed reached his century in just 67 balls and became the second-fastest Pakistani batter to score a century in the continental championship. In reply to Pakistan’s huge total, Nepal were all out for just 104 runs. Playing their first-ever Asia Cup, Nepal rarely looked in contention to even challenge the total let alone chasing it down.
Iftikhar Ahmed’s hilarious response:
Iftikhar Ahmed is a huge hit among Pakistani fans and he showed it once again why he is so loved by the fans as he came up with a hilarious comment during the post-match press conference. The middle-order batter is fondly referred to as “chacha” (uncle) by his fans. And one of the journalists decided to address Babar as his “bhatija” (nephew) while asking about the huge partnership between them.
In reply, Iftikhar Ahmed came up with a brilliant response, saying: “Bhatija also gave confidence to chacha and chacha also gave confidence to bhatija. Babar is a world-class player. The way he handles strike rotation alleviates pressure. Consequently, we relished our time batting together.”
